Statements from the Valencia CF sporting director
Miguel Ángel Corona, Valencia CF sporting director, analysed the signing of Dani Gómez.
His assessment of the signing
We are very happy with the signing of Dani on loan. We believe that he is a player who is going to adapt very well to our game and our competitive demands. He plays in attack, and we are raising the level of our forward line compared to last year. We are very happy with his arrival and how he is contributing and creating more competitiveness in the forward line, where Hugo Duro, Rafa Mir and Alberto Marí are also options.
Versatility
He is a player who can also help us on one of the two flanks occasionally and has the characteristics to play with any of the other forwards in the squad, he is very compatible when we play with two up top, and to help on the wings.
The connection with Rubén Baraja
Rubén coached him in Tenerife and helped him to show all his potential. We believe a lot in that connection; we believe that it will bring us a lot of joy and that Rubén will once again be able to get the best out of Dani.
Dani Gómez's adaptation
His adaptation is immediate: He knows the competition and the city very well. I have no doubt that he will integrate very quickly; the dressing room is also wonderful and they will help him. He will also do everything in his power to settle in the shortest space of time.
